Chinese company Chery suspended car production at Ukrainian Zaporizhzhya Automobile Building Plant (ZAZ) and began car production in Russia, reported AUTO-Consulting.
Sedan Bonus 3 and crossover Tiggo 5 are produced now on the conveyor of Derways Automobile Company located in Cherkess, while earlier these cars were assembled at ZAZ, according to AUTO-Consulting.
In September 300 freight cars have already rolled off the production line of the company. In October the Chinese company is planning to produce 2,400 cars in Russia. At that, the rated capacity of assembly line amounts to 3,000 units per month.
Earlier AutoZAZ produced Chery Bonus which was supplied to the Russian market. The company also planned to produce the crossover (apparently, Chery Tiggo 5) for selling on the markets of Russia and Ukraine, but these plans were disrupted by the crisis and military conflict in Ukraine.
As Capital reported, Ukraine investigates imports of Russian cars.
