tradeSheremeta predicts trade war between Russia and Ukraine
Russia will start a trade war with Ukraine after the latter signs the economic part of the Association Agreement with the EU, predicts Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Pavlo Sheremeta.
“In short term, we clearly need to prepare for the scenario of a possible trade war, namely introduction of certain protection actions and barriers by Russia. But firstly, we have to sit down at the negotiations table and discuss this,” he said on ICTV channel on June 23.
The minister noted that the concerns of Russia about the Association Agreement are largely unsubstantiated.
As Capital reported earlier, the European Union is planning to sign the economic part of the AA with Ukraine on June 27.
