As of June 25, 2014 Ukraine exported 32.066 mn t of grain crops, reported the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food.
“Factual volumes of export amount to 32.066 mn t, of which grain exports amount to 9.265 mn t, corn - 20.007 mn t, barley - 2.444 mn t and other grain crops - 350,000 t,” reported the ministry’s press service. In addition, 791,000 t of grain crops is currently at the port grain elevators and another 114,000 t has been loaded to the ships. The volumes of exported and prepared for export grain crops thus amount to 32.9 mn t.
The prices for grains of 2013/2014 yield currently range depending on the region: for 3 class wheat – from UAH 1,790 to UAH 2,700 per ton, 6 class forage wheat – from UAH 1,659 to UAH 2,650 per ton,” stated the press service.
“At the moment, the prices for food and forage wheat are as follows: 3 class wheat – UAH 2,298 per ton, forage wheat – UAH 2,175 per ton. Average price for barley is UAH 1,929 per ton, corn – UAH 2,058 per ton, according to the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food.
