Gold and forex reserves of the National Bank of Ukraine decreased by 4.6% in June, amounting to US $17.083 bn as of July 1, 2014, the press service of the NBU reported.
At that, reserves decreased by 16.32% to US $3.3 bn from the beginning of 2014, according to the NBU.
Repayments and servicing of the national and government-backed debt in foreign currency (US $1.977 bn), including payments to the International Monetary Fund (US $193 mn) contributed to decrease of the reserves in June.
