GasUkraine to reduce gas consumption by 30%
Ukraine is planning to reduce consumption of natural gas by 30%, informed Minister of Energy and Mines Yuriy Prodan.
“Depending on how much gas we receive, we will be taking steps to decrease gas consumption. Overall, gas consumption should be reduced by 30%, he said.
At that, Ukraine is attempting to start gas imports from EU, according to Prodan.
“As of today, we can import 15 bn cu m per year of European gas, including the volume of gas supplies through Slovakia, which will start from September 1,” noted Prodan.
