The Energy Ministry is planning to integrate the energy system of Ukraine with the energy grid of the European countries by 2017, announced Deputy Energy Minister Vadym Ulida.
“One of the top priority projects that is being implemented by the ministry is the project of the integration of the Ukrainian energy system with the European energy grid. We must remove technical and normative economic barriers, which prevent the integration,” Ulida said.
At that, he specified that Ukraine must create the market of electric energy, which would completely comply with all European principles and standards.
The Deputy Minister also noted that integration of the domestic energy system with European energy grid will allow to raise large scale investments into the energy system of Ukraine.
As Capital reported, Yatsenyuk believes Ukraine could achieve energy independence of Ukraine by 2024.
