Deputy Premier Volodymyr Groysman believes that Ukraine might have to purchase 6-7 bn cu m of gas by Ukraine from Russia. “We need to buy 6-7 bn cu m of gas for the heating season in winter… The negotiations are under way. I believe that the issue is being discussed, in particular, with our European partners… Russia has no grounds to stop selling gas to Ukraine,” informed Deputy Premier.
However, Russia must not arbitrarily raise the gas price twofold for Ukraine, according to Groysman. He also informed that Ukraine will reduce gas consumption for the purposes of economy.
