The Cabinet of Ministers is planning to reduce the GDP decline forecast in 2014 from 3% to 6-6.5%, Finance Minister Oleksandr Shlapak told journalists.
The government is also worsening the inflation forecast from 12% to 19%. “Unfortunately, macro-indicators will be changed. We expect GDP decline at 6-6.5% and inflation at 19%,” said the minister.
He informed that the draft bill on amendments to the national budget 2014 was not approved at the meeting of the government on July 17; it is assumed that the document will be approved by the Cabinet on July 18. “Today, nothing was approved.
We will be approving tomorrow,” said Shlapak.
