As MP of Batkivshchyna Oleksandr Chornovolenko believes the delay in the allocation of the second tranche from the International Monetary Fund is a result of the government and parliament's deferral of approval of the decisions, according to ForUm.
“This is happening because the Verkhovna Rada is slow in approval of the government's proposals, while the government itself submits proposals slowly. There are some issues concerning the acceleration of the reforms, each draft law is approved with difficulties as there are only 170 normal people of 250 in coalition, and there is a problem of getting 226 votes,” he said.
Chornovolenko also noted that the VR needs to balance revenues and expenditures of the budget. “IMF will not give us the second tranche if we do not balance the budget,” he assured.
“Funds are provided by their effective use and sooner or later they will be recovered,” informed Chornovolenko.
