gas marketProdan - EU reduced gas supplies to Ukraine
Ukraine is experiencing a decrease of the reverse flow gas supplies from Europe, announced Minister of Fuel and Energy Yuriy Prodan.
“There is a decrease in reverse flow gas supply. We believe this is due to certain actions of Gazprom. You have heard that all those threats addressed to the European companies are about the illegal reverse supplies,” he said.
The minister informed, that he is planning to go to Brussels to meet with EU Energy Commissioner Gunther Oettinger.
Prodan specified that the throughput capacity of the reverse flow gas supplies amounts to 18 mn cu m of gas, but as of today it is only 7 mn cu m. The supplies began declining two weeks ago, Prodan said.
