Funds, allocated by the State Treasury Service of Ukraine, are enough to pay the state paid workers at the local level just until October, informed the Association of Ukrainian Cities as reported by Vesti.
The total volume of underfunding of the public sector amounts to around UAH 4 bn (US $340 mn) at the moment.
As expert on the budget legislation issues of the association Oleksandr Slobozhan said, the public debt to the local government bodies amounts to UAH 800 bn (US 67.28 bn) in some cities, while the subventions are transferred irregularly and not in a full amount.
At that, almost all cities folded the infrastructure projects on the road reconstruction, housing service improvement etc.
“We understand everything as there is the war,” said Mayor of Boryspil Anatoliy Fedorchuk.
At the same time, there are major problems with underfunding of the local budgets in many cities.
