Andriy Fedur, attorney of businessman Serhiy Kurchenko, is convinced that the case against his client will be closed considering that the investigators do not have any evidences of his illegal activities and there are no real victims as well.
“Today I am convinced that the criminal persecution of Serhiy Kurchenko was started “by order” and the executors did not really try to comply with the legal procedures,” he said.
Despite the fact that Kurchenko was suspected of embezzling liquefied natural gas, he was unable to receive clear answers from the investigators about what exactly were the charges, what crime Kurchenko committed, how the damage was determined and who the plaintiff is, according to the attorney.
Fedur is convinced that the investigators will have to objectively weigh the evidences, understand what happened and sooner or later approve a decision on dismissal of the case against Kurchenko.
