Kyivenergo has stopped heat supplies for all consumers in Kyiv, reported the press service of the company.
“At the moment all heat sources are disconnected from the gas supply system - in particular, as of August 4, hot water supplies were stopped to 8,820 consumers,” the press service said.
The company specified, that due to the repair works, carried out by Kyivenergo, heat supplies were stopped to 16.26% consumers, due to disconnection of the heat sources – 83.74%.
According to the company, heat production in Kyivenergo is carried out at CHP-5, CHP-6, other four thermal power stations and 183 boiler houses.
CHP-6 is not currently working, the gas limits for the thermal power plant are ensured by the technological needs, while CHP-5 is working in minimum demand regime. As of August 1, only one thermal power plant is working at CHP-5.
At the moment Kyivenergo works on reducing gas consumption during the heating season, in particular, developing measures on energy efficiency and working in the regime of economy, according to the report.
As a result of suspension of heat supplies 12 mn cu m gas were saved in July, and economy of gas can amount to 530 mn cu m from August 1 till the end of the heating season, according to the forecast.
