In the beginning of the current marketing year (July 2014 – June 2015), as of August 4, grain exports from Ukraine amounted to 2.363 mn t, reported the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food.
In particular, 974,000 t of wheat, 1.065 mn t of barley, 298,000 t of corn and 26,000 t of other grains have been exported, informed the ministry.
218,000 t were loaded onto the ships by the indicated date.
Thus, the volumes of the exported grain and grain prepared for exports amount to 2.581 mn t.
As a reminder, the previous year the country collected a record harvest of grain crops – around 63 mn t. Ukraine can equal a record in 2014, according to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center.
As Capital reported, Ukraine increased grain exports by 42%.
