Japan has offered Ukraine assistance in improving efficiency of the coal power stations in gas saving, said Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan Toshimitsu Motegi at the Ukrainian-Japanese consultations.
In particular, Japan proposes Ukraine to reequip the power stations with Japanese high technology equipment. Thus, Ukraine will be able to save up to 10% of the gas volume, according to Motegi.
As Capital reported, Japan allocated to Ukraine US $1.1 bn for the reconstruction of Bortnychi Aeration Plant.
