The Committee on Sanctions against Persons Supporting Terrorism in Ukraine, including those from Russia, will announce the first results of work on August 12, declared government’s Commissioner for European Integration Valery Pyatnitskiy at a briefing at the Cabinet of Ministers.
“I don’t want to get ahead of myself, the results will be announced on August 12,” he said.
Pyatnitskiy noted that it is expected, in particular, that the list will be announced of Russian legal entities and private individuals against whom sanctions will be imposed.
He reminded that in this way Ukraine is joining the system of sanctions which have already been adopted by the international community against Russia, and only combined sanctions will be effective.
At the same time, Pyatnytskiy specified that Ukraine now does not intend to withdraw from the CIS free trade area agreement and break any other agreements with Russia.
As Capital reported, the Cabinet instructed the State Fiscal Service to make a list of the companies with Russian assets, which operate on the territory of Ukraine for studying the possibilities of imposing sanctions against them.
