trendsVolume of non-cash foreign currency settlements increased by 19.7% on the interbank
In July 2014 the volume of non-cash foreign currency transactions on the interbank exchange market of Ukraine (purchase and sale in dollar equivalent) amounted to US $16.565 bn, including the transactions of the State Treasury Service of Ukraine, according to the Main Trends of the Foreign Exchange Market of Ukraine July 2014 on the National Bank’s website.
In June 2014 the volume of transactions amounted to US $13.834 bn. Thus, it increased by 19.74% over the month.
The volume of cash foreign currency transactions on the interbank exchange market of Ukraine (purchase and sale of foreign currencies for hryvnia in dollar equivalent) amounted to US $1.142 bn.
Among other things, the volume of currency purchased by banks from people amounted to US $467.3 mn, while the currency volume, which was sold to people – US $675.1 mn.
