The Verkhovna Rada passed the law on tax and customs control in the free trade zone in Crimea and peculiarities of economic activities on the temporarily occupied territory with 227 votes.
Thus, a free trade zone in Crimea will be introduced in two administrative-territorial units of Ukraine, as well as in Crimea and Sevastopol, according to the passed law.
The special legal regime of the economic activities of private persons and legal entities, in particular special procedure for application of regulatory, tax and customs legislation of Ukraine and the special regime of internal and external migration of private individuals, will be effective on the territory of the free trade zone on the peninsula.
In addition, a free customs zone will be created on the territory of the free trade zone in Crimea.
According to the law, the national taxes and fees are not collected in the free trade zone in Crimea.
