Accident11 oil cisterns derailed and caught fire in Cherkasy oblast
Today at 6:36 am, at Horodyshche railway station in Cherkasy oblast 20 cisterns with oil products derailed, 11 of which got caught on fire, informed the State Emergency Service.
Overall, the train consisted of 35 oil tanks. The operational group of the SES administration in Cherkasy is now fighting the fire.
The whole garrison of the firefighting and rescue service was called in connection with the accident in Cherkasy oblast. Moreover, 5 fire and rescue teams from Kirivohrad oblast and also the fire train from Myronivskiy district of Odesa railway were sent to the scene.
Head of SES Serhiy Bochkovskiy went to the scene of the accident for the coordination of the fire response and elimination of the consequences of the emergency situation.
