The government of Japan has allocated today US $100 mn of macro-financial assistance to Ukraine.
“I was holding several meetings with our foreign partners and the first one – with the Japanese government, where Japan approved the decision on allocation of US $100 mn of macro-financial assistance to Ukraine. And today we will receive the funds,” Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk announced at a session of the government.
In a couple of hours the meeting of the IMF Board of Directors is expected, and we’ll discuss the issue on allocation of the second tranche of the IMF Stand-By Arrangement, specified the premier.
“Getting the positive response from IMF is very important for us, and we did everything for this. I hope that the decision will be positive and IMF and the world will show their support to Ukraine,” emphasized Yatsenyuk.
