Ukraine will replace 40% of gas purchased from Russia by reverse flow supplies from Slovakia, announced Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk at the opening ceremony of Vojany-Uzhgorod pipeline.
“We replaced 40% of gas earlier purchased from Russian company Gazprom thanks to the opening of the reverse flow supplies from Slovakia and possibility of purchase and transportation of gas from Europe,” he said.
At that, the premier noted that Ukraine “has made many crucial decisions on energy efficiency and security of the country”.
As Capital reported, Ukraine opened a “small reverse” of gas from Slovakia.
