The only Ukrainian manufacturer of heavy trucks AvtoKrAZ (Kremenchuk) has produced 733 vehicles in January-August, which is 38.8% more than in the same period the previous year, reported the company in a press release.
In particular, 24% of the manufactured vehicles were produced for the domestic market, 34% for the CIS countries and 42% for other foreign countries. Over the specified period 703 vehicles have been shipped, which is 38.4% more than the same period in 2013, according to AvtoKrAZ.
In August, AvtoKrAZ manufactured 123 vehicles on its main assembly conveyer, which is 22% more than in August 2013 and 6 vehicles less than in July, according to the company. “This month, AvtoKrAZ workers were given a task to keep up the production rates”, noted the company.
AvtoKrAZ is a part of financial-industrial group Finance and Credit controlled by Ukrainian businessman Kostyantyn Zhevago. The company produces 33 base models and over 260 KrAZ vehicle modifications for work in all economic sectors and Armed Forces.
As Capital reported, The National Guard of Ukraine ordered 370 vehicles for around UAH 361 mn from AvtoKrAZ until the end of 2014.
