President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has ordered to cease fire in the east of Ukraine starting from Friday, 6:00 p.m, informed the press service of the president.
“Based on the appeal of President of Russia Vladimir Putin to the leaders of illegal armed forces for ceasefire, signing protocol on the implementation of peaceful plan in the east of Ukraine at the meeting of trilateral contact group, I issue the order for the Chief of the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to cease fire, starting from September 5, 6:00 p.m,” announced Poroshenko.
As Capital reported, the protocol on ceasefire starting from Friday, 6:00 p.m. was signed at the meeting of the contact group between the representatives of Ukraine, self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk people’s republics and OSCE.
