The Donbas Battalion will support those candidates of the elections who enjoy the society’s confidence, share its goals and are ready to join with like-minded people, battalion commander Semen Semenchenko wrote on his Facebook page.
“The servicemen from the Donbas Battalion who will run in the elections in the majoritarian constituencies are capable of managing both the guns and words, those patriots who had their own positions in everyday life. After all, Donbas is Ukraine. Whole. That includes Lviv, Rivne, Simferopol, Donetsk, Lysychansk, Kyiv. If the voters from other oblasts want to propose their countrymen, law enforcers of Donbas, as the candidates to the Verkhovna Rada, then we are ready for that. Write to us, we will help,” said Semenchenko.
