Car production decreased twofold in Ukraine in August

In August 2014, the car production in Ukraine decreased by 96.2% compared with the same month the previous year and amounted to 200 units, reported the State Statistics Service.

Compared with July 2014, the car production decreased by 44.9%.

The total production of cars in January-August 2014 decreased by 13.2% to 23,100 units, compared with the same period 2013.
The truck production in August 2014 decreased by 41.7% per year, increased by 31.8% per month and amounted to 116 units. Over eight months 2014, the truck production dropped by 30.7% to 763 units.

The bus production decreased by 60% per year, increased by 39.7% per month and amounted to 102 units. The production dropped by 53.7% and amounted to 636 units over eight months.

The production of trailers and semi-trailers increased by 5.7% per year and by 6.7% per month to 2,900 units. In January-August the production grew by 4.3% to 18,900 units.

In August 2014, the production of freight cars and flat cars for railways and tramways decreased by 77.3% and amounted to 500 units (37.8% decline per month) compared with August 2013, and in January-August 2014, the production decreased by 76% and amounted to 4,700 units compared with the indicator of the previous year.
