Ukraine remains the reliable supplier of gas to Europe and promises to fulfill all its transit obligations, announced Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk at the 12th meeting of the Energy Community in Kyiv.
“I want to assure that Ukraine is a strong transit country and we promise to provide transit. That is why we are asking our European partners to have direct relations with the Ukrainian companies involved in gas transit,” he said.
The premier noted that Ukraine and the EU member countries will be able to find a common approach for creating the new transparent rules on the energy market to make their countries independent.
“We need the transparency market rules to not allow anybody use gas as the weapon against our countries,” specified Yatsenyuk.
As Capital reported, Russia is forcing Europe to stop gas supplies to Ukraine.
