CommunicationsSevastopol Ukrtelecom will be managed by the city
Sevastopol government has published on its website a decree No. 314 of September 22 on comprehensive investigation of legitimacy of privatization of Ukrtelecom assets which were earlier owned by Ukraine and inventory of property of Ukrtelecom in Sevastopol.
Head of the Office of Telecommunications and Information Technologies of Sevastopol Vadim Dvoryanenko reminded that under the Law on the Former State Property of Ukraine and Determination of Inventory Procedure, Management and Property Disposition of Sevastopol adopted on April 24, 2014, all institutions, enterprises and other organizations owned or established by Ukraine shall be deemed as those established by Sevastopol.
“Thus, if privatization was carried out with violations or Ukrtelecom does not have the rights to several facilities, these facilities will be included on the register of the city’s property,” he emphasized.
As Capital reported, the new Russian operator can take the place of Ukrtelecom.
The number of users of Ukrtelecom in Sevastopol now amounts to around 129,000 people.
