Foreign exchange marketNational Bank establishes indicative exchange rate of hryvnia
The National Bank of Ukraine has approved the decision to daily inform about the indicative exchange rate of hryvnia against other currencies on its page in the information system Thomson-Reuters NBU01, as was reported by NBU.
«We are informing that the banking community and largest participants of foreign economic activity (exporters and importers) have approved the decision on setting up the indicative exchange rate of dollar against hryvnia to stabilize the situation, prevent panic of the population and prevent making the financial system unsteady,» said NBU.
The indicative hryvnia exchange rate is the benchmark which is taken into account by banks when performing transactions on the interbank exchange.
As a reminder, to date, there are three exchange rates of hryvnia in Ukraine — official, interbank and current.
