The National Nuclear Energy Generating Company EnergoAtom has chosen Westinghouse (USA) for supplying equipment in the amount of EUR 3.2 mn to the system of hermetic enclosure of nuclear units No.1 and No.2 of the Zaporizhzhya Nuclear Power Plant, reported EnergoAtom on the website of public purchases.
The decision was approved on September 26, the deadline of signing the contract is October 26.
The first set of equipment should be supplied in September 2015, second – in January 2016.
As Capital reported, Westinghouse is ready to participate in completion of the power units No.3 and No.4 of Khmelnytskiy Nuclear Power Plant instead of Russia.
EnergoAtom exploits Zaporizhzhya NPP, Rivne NPP, Khmelnytskiy NPP, Southern Ukrainian NP, and also combines Tashlyk Pumped Storage Plant and Oleksandrivska Hydroelectric Power Station (Mykolayiv oblast). Donuzlav Wind Electric Power Station (Crimea) is also a part of the company.
