The State Property Fund of Ukraine is ready to sell 1,255 Ukrainian companies, informed head of the fund Dmytro Parfenenko, as reported by the press service of the fund.
“Ukraine has a powerful resource of the privatization. Except two companies which are traditionally considered favorites of the privatization race – Odesa Portside Plant and Turboatom - there are hundreds of others that can be successfully sold by the fund. First of all, these are the companies of the energy sector which should be given to the fund for privatization from the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry, and the companies of the so-called banned list. These are 1,255 new companies which can be privatized and find investors when the parliament, new of course, gives its consent,” he noted.
As Capital reported, in August the VR proposed to allow the privatization of around 1,000 companies.
