maneuversRussia Urges Investigation of Crimes in East Ukraine in Call to Legislatures Worldwide
In an address to national legislatures and international organizations, the lower chamber of the Russian parliament, the State Duma, called for an international investigation of crimes against civilians committed in southeastern Ukraine.
The Duma called on foreign lawmakers, the international community and international organizations, such as the United Nations, the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) and the Council of Europe, to hold an independent international investigation into events that led to numerous deaths of civilians in the war-torn region and punish those guilty of crimes against people of Ukraine.
