Today, in Minsk the leaders of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan have signed the documents on liquidation of the Eurasian Economic Community (EurAsEC). The community was liquidated as the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) began to operate.
The interstate council’s draft resolution On measures related to the cessation of the activity of the Eurasian Economic Community’s bodies was also signed. A number of documents concern the implementation of the budget of the Eurasian Economic Community, in particular, the budget for 2013 and 2014.
EurAsEC secretariat will continue its operation until the end of 2014, but will be dismissed from 2015.
