A total of UAH 7 million of state budget money has already been spent for implementation of the Stina (Wall) project on border reinforcement, minister of the Cabinet of Ministers Ostap Semerak has said.
"Yes, it's true that UAH 7 million has already been spent [for the Wall project]," he said in a TV program aired on TRK Ukraina on Wednesday night.
Semerak also said that the Stina project will be financed both by the Ukraine government and the European Union.
As reported, the Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers has issued a decree ordering the Defense Ministry to provide UAH 100 million, previously earmarked by the government from the national budget's reserve fund for border reinforcement.
On October 8, 2014 the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine took a decision to allocate additional 6 million euros for the implementation of the project to equip a Ukrainian-Russian border.
