The European Investment Bank (EIB) in 2014-2016 will issue EUR3 billion for funding investment projects in Ukraine.

"We plan over the next three years, including the current one, to invest EUR3 billion in Ukraine," EIB Vice President Laszlo Baranyay said during the signing of a loan agreement with Astarta agricultural holding in Kyiv.

He noted that the bank is financing the construction of the Beskydsky tunnel, and plans to invest in a number of promising sectors of the Ukrainian economy.

"There is a partnership program with Ukraine in the EU, which provides our bank with the possibility of carrying out activities in a number of sectors in Ukraine," the banker said.
