CapitalSecurity measures strengthened before elections in Kyiv
A week prior to the parliamentary elections the law enforcement bodies have introduced an increased security control regime, said Spokesman of the Security Service of Ukraine Olena Hytlyanska at a briefing.
“The extraordinary security measures are being prepared, taking into account the plan of bringing to Kyiv sabotage groups for the disruption of elections by organising the terrorist attacks,” she announced.
The Security Service of Ukraine will initiate the creation of the new and existing checkpoints on the way to Kyiv, filtration control measures at the railway stations and other public places, according to Gitlyanska.
