Ukraine and International Monetary Fund agreed on the increase of financial support if it becomes necessary, announced Minister of Finance of Ukraine Oleksandr Shlapak before the session of the Cabinet.
“We came to agreement with the IMF that as soon as the mission comes - and it will come in the first days of the work of the new government - we will review the macroeconomic forecasts until the end of the current year, for the next year, and, in particular, we will calculate the foreign exchange balances until the end of this year and for the next year. We agreed on the increase of financial support, in particular, its foreign currency component, by our partners,” he said.
As Capital reported, Ukraine asked the West to allocate US $2.5 bn.
