During January-September the deficit of the national budget of Ukraine amounted to UAH 40.127 bn (US $3.08 bn) which corresponds to 49.9% of the annual rate (UAH 80.386 bn or US $6.17 bn), reported the press service of the Ministry of Finance.
During nine months 2013, the indicator amounted to UAH 35.211 bn (US $2.70 bn). Thus, the deficit of the national budget of Ukraine increased by 13.96% or UAH 4.916 bn (US $380 mn) during January-September compared with the corresponding period in 2013.
The consolidated budget deficit totaled UAH 32.918 bn (US $2.53 bn) during January-September, 2014.
In January-September 2014, the repayment of the principal of the national budget’s debt totaled UAH 70.786 bn (US $5.44 bn), of internal debt – UAH 44.921 bn (US $3.45 bn), of external debt – UAH 25.865 bn (US $1.99 bn).
The national loans for financing the national budget amounted to UAH 119.344 bn (US $9.17 bn), in particular, UAH 116.760 bn (US $8.97 bn) in the general fund. UAH 43.192 bn (US $3.32 bn) were attracted on the internal market, UAH 76.152 bn (US $5.85 bn) of loans were received from the external sources, in particular, UAH 2.584 bn (US $200 mn) were received for financing investment and infrastructure projects from the international financial organizations to the special fund of the national budget.
As Capital reported, next year half of the Kyiv budget will be spent on debt repayment.
