Ukraine expects that Russia will send a payment for transit gas in November, Minister of Energy and Coal Industry Yuriy Prodan told journalists.
As a reminder, Naftogaz of Ukraine repeatedly received an advance from Gazprom on account of future transit of natural gas through its territory. According to Gazprom, the total amount of advance payments for transit gas amounted to US $5.15 bn since 2012. I
n particular, in summer 2013 Gazprom provided Naftogaz with another advance in the amount of US $1 bn, which should provide payment for services of Russian gas transit through the territory of Ukraine until the middle-end 2014 depending on the volumes of transportation and price on gas supplied to Ukraine.
