Foreign exchange marketThe official hryvnia exchange rate fell to a new historic low
On Friday, 02:00 pm, the National Bank of Ukraine lowered the official hryvnia exchange rate by around UAH 0.51 to UAH 14.47/US $1, thus renewing a historic low.
The day before, the previous historic low of the official exchange rate was registered at UAH 13.95/US $1.
On Friday, 02:00 pm, the weighted average rate on the interbank foreign exchange market amounted to UAH 14.48/US $1, while as a result of the tender on Thursday — to UAH 13.88/US $1, reported the NBU on its official website.
At that, according to NBU, the volume of the market amounted to US 22.38 mn at that time, while on Thursday — to US $19.36 mn.
On Friday, currency trading on the interbank foreign exchange market exceeded UAH 15/ US $1, informed market players.
