Oil and gasPoroshenko complained to Merkel for non-payment by Russia for transit gas
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko told German Chancellor Angela Merkel during their telephone consultation that Ukraine has paid for the first tranche of its Russian gas debt, however still has not received payment from Russia for the transit of Russian gas through Ukrainian territory in September-October, as Poroshenko’s press service reported.
The two sides discussed the issues on the implementation of the gas agreements which were approved at the trilateral talks between EU-Russia-Ukraine, according to the press service.
Poroshenko and Merkel also discussed the situation in the Donbas. The president announced a significant refusal from the implementation of the Minsk agreements, which leads to a further escalation of the conflict in that region.
As Capital reported, Ukraine expects that Russia will send payment for gas transit in November.
