The Anti-Monopoly Committee of Ukraine has allowed Zaporizhzhya Electric Locomotive Repair Plant and Skoda Transportation (Czech Republic) to open a joint venture for the construction of the electric locomotives, reported Ukrainian News with reference to the Anti-Monopoly Committee.
The joint venture is a limited liability company Ukrainian-Czech Zaporizhzhya Electric Locomotive Repair Plant located in Zaporizhzhya, according to the committee.
480 electric locomotives, among which 50 double-system passenger locomotives, 330 single-system passenger locomotives and 100 double-system electric freight locomotives, will be produced during the project implementation at the joint venture, according to Interfax-Ukraine.
