investmentsDirect investments in Ukraine decreased by 15%
As of October 1, the volume of foreign direct investments in Ukraine in the form of equity capital amounted to US $48.52 bn, which is 14.9% less than at the beginning of the year, reported the State Statistics Service.
The SSS informed that in January – September non-residents invested US $1.91 bn and withdrew US $0.89 bn at the same time, but the negative exchange rate difference amounted to US $9.41 bn.
In particular, in January – September the share of investments from Cyprus decreased from 33.3% to 31.2%, from Russia – from 6.8% to 6.1%, while the share of investments from Germany increased from 10.7% to 11.9%, and the share of investments from the Netherlands – from 9.7% to 10.7%.
In addition, according to the SSS, in Q3 non-residents invested US $0.61 bn and withdrew US $0.23 bn, however the negative exchange rate difference amounted to US $1.97 bn.
