StatisticsDecline of industrial output slowed down to 16.3% in October
In October 2014 the industrial production in Ukraine (without taking into account the occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol) decreased by 16.3% compared with the corresponding period in 2013 against 16.6% last month, reported the State Statistics Service.
At that, in October 2014 the industrial production in Ukraine increased by 7.5% compared with September 2014.
In January-October 2014 the decline amounted to 9.4% compared with the corresponding period in 2013.
In the sector of mining industry and quarrying the indicator of industrial output amounted to 89.4%, processing — to 90.4%, supply and distribution of electricity, gas, steam and conditioned air — to 94.2%.
The production of food products, beverages and tobacco increased by 14.6% per month (by 6.3% per year), output of light industry increased by 0.1% per month (decreased by 5% per year).
