Restaurant businessGeneral Directorof McDonald’s Ukraine announced millions in losses
Since April three fast food McDonald’s restaurants were closed in Crimea and since May five restaurants were closed in Donbas, General Director of McDonald’s Ukraine Grzegorz Chmielarski told Capital in an interview.
“The restaurant of the chain located at Maidan Nezalezhnosti was not working for over 40 days. I cannot say the exact amount of losses but we are talking about millions of hryvnia,” he added.
Visiting of other McDonald’s restaurants increased by average 3-4% over nine months compared with the corresponding period in 2013. But the highest increase in attendance was registered in Lviv where the number of visitors increased by around 10% from January to October.
