Banking systemWorld Bank appealed to NBU to close pocket institutions for money laundering
The World Bank appealed to the National Bank of Ukraine to cleanse the Ukrainian banking system, World Bank Country Director for Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova Qimiao Fan said at the International Investment Business Forum in Kyiv.
«Stabilization of the financial system is the main objective of NBU. It is necessary to restructure the banking sector, cleanse all banking system as there are not banks, but structures, pocket institutions for money laundering,» announced Qimiao Fan.
«NBU should receive all required and significant legislative instruments for the implementation of the reforms and developments in the banking sector», he added.
