Around 1,000 people were killed in Ukraine since the beginning of the ceasefire in September 2014, reported the Agence France-Presse on its Twitter with reference to the United Nations.
As a reminder, earlier the UN informed that over 41,000 people died during the conflict in the east of Ukraine.
The combat actions between the Ukrainian army and opponents of the central authorities continue on the territory of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts since April 2014. The agreement on the ceasefire, which is being constantly violated, was approved at the beginning of September. The intensity of the combat actions has decreased, but the law enforcers and civilians continue to die.
