CommunicationKyivstar president – 3G tariffs will be higher than the current ones
The tariffs on 3G network will be higher than the current tariffs for the mobile communication services, President of Kyivstar Petro Chernyshov told Interfax-Ukraine in an interview.
He said that this is due to the high cost of the 3G license.
“The conditions were published, we consider that the price of 3G license is exorbitant. Earlier the document showing that the price in Ukraine should be the same as on 3G auctions in seven countries, was published. We have studied this experience and prices at which the licenses were sold out there, we took into account APRU of those countries at that time and the population and calculated everything. It turned out that the license should cost here from US $60 mn to US $90 mn. As you know, they ask us to pay quite different money, large money. It is difficult to dispute with the government, which is why we have a simple message. If we are forced to pay the exorbitant price for a license then our customers need to be prepared for higher prices of 3G,” he explained.
