GDP in Ukraine to drop by 4.5% and inflation to amount to 13.4% in 2015

The Ministry of Finance of Ukraine forecasts that GDP in Ukraine will decrease by 4.5% and inflation will amount to 13.4% in 2015, reported Deputy Finance Minister Denys Fudashkin at a briefing.

The nominal GDP will amount to UAH 1.72 trln (US $0.11 trln) next year, he said.

«We have two scenarios. We will focus on pessimistic one. This scenario is being agreed with IMF and our forecasts are approximately the same,» said Fudashkin.

According to the optimistic scenario, the GDP of the country will decrease by 2.4% and inflation will be at 11.5% next year. At that, the deficit of the consolidated budget next year will be at 5.3% of GDP, according to the pessimistic scenario, and at 3.8% of GDP, according to the optimistic scenario.
