Around 10 banks may be recognized insolvent by 2015, announced Deputy Executive Director of the Deposit Guarantee Fund of Ukraine Andriy Olenchyk.
“Is this a final figure? NBU has a certain list of candidates – up to ten, who can replenish the fund until the end of the year. We do not know yet what decision will be approved by NBU,” he told journalists.
Next year cannot be less dynamic for the banking system in terms of the withdrawal of the financial institutions from the market, according to Olenchyk.
“The forecasts are thankless. I think, 2015 will be no less funny, dynamics of the withdrawal of banks will remain the same,” he noted adding that, overall, the Fund accepted 65 banks, including 32 banks, according the old procedure, and 33 banks, according the new one.
