The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine allowed the temporary import of electricity, reported the Department of Information and Communication of the Secretariat-General of the Government.
The corresponding resolution No. 1188-r was issued on December 5.
According to the document, the State Foreign Trade Company Ukrinterenergo will carry out the temporary import of electricity from neighboring countries, but the price should not exceed the average tariff rate for the energy generating companies of the TPPs the previous month. The rate was set by the National Commission for State Energy and Public Utilities Regulation.
In addition, the NCSEPUR should determine an algorithm of the allocation of funds of the Ukrainian wholesale energy market ensuring the full payments for it.
The capacity of import supplies of electricity to Ukraine may amount to 1.5 GW, informed Minister of Energy and Coal Industry Volodymyr Demchyshyn.
